The hotel had a fabulous location overlooking the lake. It was just a short walk into the town center of Ambleside and perfect for getting the boat across the lake. The rooms were newly decorated and looked beautiful, very clean and well appointed. The dining room was also newly decorated with a stylish color palette and beautiful fabrics. The breakfast was good and the staff accommodated our special dietary requirements. Dogs were welcome throughout the hotel. There was also plenty of parking onsite at no extra cost.
It was all superb.
We had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely fabulous, with a stunning view of the lake from our room. We loved being able to watch the sun set over the water. Another great aspect was the convenience of the hotel's car park, as we didn't need to use our car until we left this beautiful city. The cleanliness of the hotel was beyond reproach, and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. We appreciated the attention to detail, especially the lovely touch of having our room turned down while we were out for dinner. The food and service at the restaurant were fantastic, and we ended up dining there both nights of our stay. We also had the opportunity to enjoy the spa facilities at a nearby hotel, and the experience was truly delightful, with stunning views of the lake from the outdoor hot tub and sauna.
There was nothing we didn't like.
We had a wonderful surprise weekend for my partner's birthday, and the location of this hotel was perfect. It was right next to the pier, allowing us easy access to transportation and other areas of the National Park. The hotel facilities were top-notch, and the room was clean and comfortable. the staff were friendly and accommodating.
