The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a large bed. The cleanliness was top-notch, and we appreciated the amenities provided, such as the cafetiere coffee. The breakfast selection was delicious, with various options including a full English breakfast and continental choices. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to store our bikes securely. The hotel also had free parking and a great location, making it convenient for our visit to this city.

The hotel has a lovely pub atmosphere, but the rooms are set away from the pub, ensuring a quiet stay. The location by the river is tranquil and beautiful, with the opportunity for a lovely walk along the river path to the historic Basing House. The staff were excellent - attentive, pleasant, and welcoming. this hotel provided a wonderful experience.
